Services also include Community Integration in workshop setting or individually to meet a person's needs.

Deaf Community Resource Center provides both short- and long-term support services to maximize deaf and hard-of-hearing accessibility to the community resources.  Case Management activities are the crucial link joining deaf and hard-of-hearing members to their community. DCRC Case Management services focus on

  • Adult Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing
  • School Aged Students
  • Deaf, Deafblind, and hard of hearing senior citizens
  • Deaf families
  • Deaf and hard of hearing with more than one disability.

Since Deaf/Hard of Hearing persons are exposed to the same social stresses as a hearing person, the first problem is always one of accessibility.

Community Integration is designed to meet the needs of Deaf or Hard of Hearing consumers who require assistance increasing their personal, social , or vocational skills to live successfully in their community. Activities include daily living skills training (budgeting, shopping, banking, paying bills, etc.), mobility training to gain transportation independence (how to ride a bus or obtain alternative transportation), and technology training to also provide supports and independence for daily living needs.
